Seek first to understand before being understood

When people are expressing themselves there will always be noise. Rule Omega is to try to hold everything they say and then reflect back to them the most signal you can find. Often this is best done in the form of an open, curious, respectful question(s). This allows you both to more quickly find out what they are saying, even if you then later state you disagree with it. This is faster than the more turbulent conversation flow where you seek to point out all the ways what they initially said is incorrect first, requiring them to concede the points they made which were incorrect.
